Jackson's Chameleon was sculpted by award—winning Louisville artist Bob Lockhart and is located outside the Herpaquarium at the Louisville Zoo. It is one of many works of public art located throughout the Zoo's grounds.
Bob Lockhart holds a BFA and an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. He taught at Bellarmine for more than 40 years, focusing not only on the creation of studio art but also on issues of social justice. His work is featured in collections such as the Whitney Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Speed Art Museum. (KG)
